Summer Recording Camp

Looking for a next-level summer experience for your young musician? Beyond the Beat’s Summer Recording Camp is unlike any other. With industry-leading facilities, top-tier professional equipment, and hands-on training, we offer an opportunity no other camp can match.
Learn, Record, and Perform
Throughout the week, students will:
- Record an original song
- Record a professional-quality cover song chosen by their band
- Learn Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton while working in professional production rooms
- Perform in a live showcase at the end of the week
Small Groups for a Premium Experience
Each session is limited to six students, ensuring personalized instruction and hands-on time with professional engineers and teachers.

Our facility is built to professional standards, just like the real-world recording studios used by legendary artists like Neil Young.

- Students rotate through three cutting-edge stations each day:
- 24-Channel Pro Tools Studio A – Featuring outboard recording gear, separate drum and vocal booths, Avid S1 docks, patchbays, and professional instruments.
- Acoustic Production Studio B – A fully professional 16-channel acoustic recording facility for high-quality live recordings.
- Individual Production Studios – Dedicated workstations for electronic music production, beat programming, and EDM composition.
Industry-Standard Equipment & Software
Students work with professional-grade recording gear and leading music production software, including:
- Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live
- High-end microphones (U87, dynamic & condenser mics)
- 6 guitars, 4 bass guitars, banjos, ukuleles, and an upright acoustic piano
- 4 keyboards and a 16-channel mixing desk
- Full drum set with dedicated drum mic lines
Daily Schedule
- 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
- 1.5 hours in the Acoustic Production Studio (recording live instruments)
- 1.5 hours in the Individual Production Studios (beat-making, EDM production, and composition)
- 1.5 hours in the 24-Channel Pro Tools Studio (full-band recording and production)
- 30-minute lunch break – Eat, relax, and enjoy outdoor activities.
- Morning and afternoon sessions differ, so students work on different aspects of their projects throughout the day.

Camp Details
- Dates: Weekly sessions from June 30 – August 29, 2025
- Location: Beyond the Beat Music School (463 Woodbine Ave, Toronto, ON M4E 2H5)
- Cost: $499 per week
- Deposit: $100 to secure your spot (refundable until May 1st)
