Mark Battenberg

Mark Battenberg is a Toronto based multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and teacher. His musical journey began right here in the Beaches with cello studies at Williamson Rd School.  He is a graduate of Fanshawe College’s Music Industry Arts program, where he was mentored by Canadian music legend Jack Richardson. He has been teaching music and performing arts for more than 30 years.

Mark encourages his students to HAVE FUN WITH MUSIC and to become musical explorers. He is passionate about helping people discover their creative potential, and helping them to build self confidence and develop wonderful relationships through the performing arts

 His body of work includes 8 CD’s of original compositions for classical guitar, film and television post production, string arrangements, and many years of live production and performances.  He has had the wonderful experience of  writing and performing  with the incredible Duo Thalia, a fabulous Cello and Violin team, as well as with  Shakuhachi Flute master Debbie Danbrook , Jazz Piano Wizard  Dr.David Powell , film composer Mark Korven, members of the TSO , Canadian Opera company , and many more.
