Always keeping the students goals at the heart of the lesson. The one-hour Beyond the Beat lesson can build upon our performance and recording philosophy, or simply take a more traditional route. The extra lesson time allows participants to learn how to sight-read, play essential scales and arpeggios, and delve deeper into music theory. Alternatively, students can use the lesson time to produce and record original songs with their instructor. Regardless of the direction your lesson takes you, we strongly encourage students to participate in as many Beyond the Beat showcases as possible. By crafting meaningful performances and playing music on stage with a professional band, students develop into musicians in a safe and supportive environment.
