Beyond the Beat is proud to present our music and recording summer camp! Our innovative and engaging programs use cutting-edge technology in our wonderful space, a variety of instruments, and top-notch equipment to create lasting memories. Working on songs, learning software, and spending time with other kids playing music is a fantastic experience and productive way to spend your summer months. Come learn Pro Tools, record as a band or individually in our production studios, and write songs in a fun, stress-free, supportive, and professional environment.
Our program allows students to learn the most proficient software in the industry and professional grade musical equipment. Learn how microphones work, and how to arrange music with harmonies and special effects to bring their songs to life.
Daily Schedule:
- Morning: Camp starts with a 20-30 minute Pro Tools deep dive. Students will learn how to open tracks, set up a microphone, and use the most innovative recording software in the world. Work on a cover song. Students learn individual parts (drums, bass, guitar, piano, voice, harmony) and how to arrange the song. This gives them a comprehensive view of how songs are put together.
- Lunch Break: Enjoy lunch by the water, with optional singing and busking.
- Afternoon: Work on creating original music, either in individual production studios or in our live room as a band. Learn how to create songs from ideas in a collaborative and creative environment with the tools necessary for making professional music.
