Rainey Smith is a Toronto based singer and vocal coach specializing in technique and live performance. Her training includes private lessons with the talented Lorraine Lawson and Elaine Thaller through private studios and the Toronto Faculty of Music. Rainey’s studies continued at Etobicoke School of the Arts as a musical theatre major where she held leading roles as Grizabella from Cats, Eponine from Les Miserables, and Miss Stacy from Anne of Green Gables. Continuing after high school Rainey completed her Bachelor of Contemporary Music degree from Humber College.
For the last decade Rainey has been actively performing in the Toronto music scene in numerous corporate venues and the top-forty circuits, for fun Rainey and a couple friends from university have been playing in a Led Zeppelin tribute band in the GTA for the last five years. With training in vocal arias, musical theatre, pop, jazz and rock, Rainey is a very versatile singer with the ability to translate her abilities to any of her students.
